DDOT Transportation Operations AdministrationDispatch roadway service patrol vehicles that monitor roads that aid motorists, offering rapid response to minor incidents (flat tire, accidents, out of gas) to minimize disruption to the traffic stream.
Monitor its transportation infrastructure (e.g., bridges, tunnels and operations centers) for potential threats using sensors and surveillance equipment and inform the appropriate emergency management agencies.
Coordinate emergency plans and emergency responses with District EOC. Includes managing highways and arterials in response to and under the direction of the District EOC.
Coordinate evacuation and re-entry plans with the District EOC.
Provide signal preemption for emergency vehicles.
DDPW - District Department of Public WorksCoordinate evacuation and re-entry plans with the District EOC.
Coordinate emergency plans and emergency responses with District EOC. Includes managing highways and arterials in response to and under the direction of the District EOC.
FEMS - District Fire-Emergency Medical ServiceRespond to incidents on the roadways.
MPD- Metropolitan Police DepartmentReceive early warning information and threat information from the District EOC.
Dispatch police/ fire/ EMS vehicles to incidents in the District
Share incident report information with other public safety providers.
Issue Amber Alerts and other wide area alert information to other public safety providers and traffic management agencies.
Coordinate regional emergency plans, incident responses, evacuation and re-entry plans, and disaster management plans with the District EOC.
Coordinate emergency response with the District EOC and police in adjoining jurisdictions.
Coordinate evacuation and re-entry plans with the District EOC.
Receive Amber Alert and other wide area alert information from the District EOC.
Private Traveler Information ProvidersProvide emergency information to the public. Emergency information may include evacuation zones, times, instructions, routes, and available transit services.
US Capital PoliceCoordinate regional emergency plans, incident responses, evacuation and re-entry plans, and disaster management plans with the District EOC and MPD
