Architecture Geographic Scope

Description:

On-board systems providing the direct interface between the emergency vehicle and incident management personnel at the incident site.

City of Victoria Fire/EMS Vehicles
City of Victoria Police Vehicles
DPS Emergency Vehicles
Municipal or County Public Safety Vehicles
Private Tow/Wrecker Vehicles
Private/Public Ambulance Vehicle

Functional Requirements:

1The emergency vehicle shall receive dispatch instructions sufficient to enable emergency personnel in the field to implement an effective incident response. It includes local traffic, road, and weather conditions, hazardous material information, and the current status of resources that have been allocated to an incident.
2The emergency vehicle shall provide an interface to the center for emergency personnel to transmit information about the incident site such as the extent of injuries, identification of vehicles and people involved, hazardous material, etc.
3The emergency vehicle shall provide an interface to the center for emergency personnel to transmit information about the current incident response status such as the identification of the resources on site, site management strategies in effect, and current clearance status.
  

User Service Requirements (fully or partially addressed):

1.5TRAVELER SERVICES INFORMATION
1.5.2TSI shall include an Information Access function that allows travelers to access the available information.
1.5.2.2Information Access shall provide the capability for travelers and centers to request and receive information about the location of facilities and the quality of specific services provided in an area to include but, not be limited to, the following:
1.5.2.2(i)Local care facility information.
5.0EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
5.2EMERGENCY VEHICLE MANAGEMENT
5.2.2EVM Service shall include a Route Guidance System.
5.2.2.2Route Guidance System shall advise emergency response vehicles of appropriate routes.
