Equipment Package: Roadway Equipment Coordination

Description: This equipment package supports direct communications between field equipment. It includes field elements that control and send data to other field elements. This includes coordination between remote sensors and field devices (e.g., Dynamic Message Signs) and coordination between the field devices themselves (e.g., direct coordination between traffic controllers that are controlling adjacent intersections.).
Included In: COSA Barrier Gates
COSA DMS
COSA Field Sensors
COSA Parking Division DMS
COSA Traffic Signals
COSA Water Level and Rainfall Sensors
County/Municipal Barrier Gates
County/Municipal Field Sensors
County/Municipal Traffic Signals
TxDOT Barrier Gates
TxDOT DMS
TxDOT Field Sensors
TxDOT Flood Detection
TxDOT Traffic Signals
TxDOT Work Zone Equipment
Functional Requirements 1 - The field element shall include sensors (such as traffic, environmental, and work zone intrusion detection sensors) that provide data and status information to other field element devices (such as dynamic message signs, ramp meters, traffic signals, work zone intrusion alert systems), without center control.
2 - The field element shall include sensors (such as traffic, environmental, and work zone intrusion detection sensors) that receive control information from other field element devices, without center control.
3 - The field element shall include devices (such as arterial or freeway controllers, roadway automated treatment systems, barrier and safeguard systems, emissions or pollution systems, and work zone intrusion alert systems) that provide data and status information to other field element devices (such as dynamic message signs, traffic controllers on adjacent intersections), without center control.
4 - The field element shall include devices (such as arterial or freeway controllers, roadway automated treatment systems, barrier and safeguard systems, emissions or pollution systems, and work zone intrusion alert systems) that receive control information from other field element devices, without center control.
