Description:

Mahoning County maintains 42 signals. 20 in Boardman, 17 in Austintown, 2 in Smith Township, and 3 in Jackson Township. 32 are part of closed loop systems. 2 have emergency vehicle preemption (Boardmand and Austintown), more emergency preemption is planned. 3 sites where signals are within 200' of RR crossing (South, Southern, SR 224) but only 1 or 2 trains per day (garbage trains - suppose to run at night).
