The following are the roles and responsibilities, by functional area or by project, for City of Hartford Public Works.

Maintenance and Construction

Perform maintenance of ITS field equipment owned by the city. Planned
Manage work zones for all maintenance and construction activities, and monitor work zone safety with field equipment and vehicles. Planned
Maintenance vehicles provide automated maintenance status information to roadway maintenance and construction operations, as well as equipment repair facilities. Planned
Distribute maintenance and construction work plan information and asset restrictions to regional traffic agencies, regional transit providers, regional emergency services, the media, private rail operations, and multimodal service providers. Planned
