Description: IFTA is a national clearinghouse designed to allocate fuel taxes between multiple states for motor carrier activities across jurisdictional lines, in accordance with the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA). The HUT system collects Highway Use Taxes (HUT) from motor carriers associated with commercial vehicle operations in the District.
